Healthy weight loss and maintaining an appropriate weight afterwards involves looking at many parts of our lives. I believe my story is the same as what many people experience. Iron will power, and depriving myself did not bring me the lasting results I desire. There is more involved than simply eating less or eating differently or exercising. Food is one factor. Exercise is another. My experience is that both of these factors are a small percent of the bigger picture of why my body carries extra weight.
The one thing I have found that determines the health of my body, including my weight, is my emotions. How I feel about myself and my life. How I feel about my body, and how I feel about my children or parents, and how I feel about my work, or the fact I still feel irritated with a friend over a conversation we had last week. All these things affect my body.
The Yuen Method and its ability to work on the energetic level can be very helpful in healthy weight loss. There are factors we are not consciously aware of that deeply affect us and our ability to do what we want to do. Often there are fundamental beliefs our culture holds that we do not realize are holding us back.
