Depression Relief

Depression usually has a number of contributing factors. Stress from various areas of our daily lives is one factor. Ongoing feelings of inadequacy to meet a situation we find ourselves in can have an accumulative effect. Many people feel there isn’t enough time to do what needs to be done. It can feel hopeless to ever get ahead, or even just to keep up.

Unresolved emotional issues are another. Our reaction to events that happened as children that we did not have the opportunity to work through can still be buried inside us and contribute to depression.  Depression can be anger turned inward. It could be anger at others that we don’t feel justified to have, or anger at ourselves that we don’t know how to resolve. Feeling powerless to change how we feel can lead to hopelessness, shutting down and giving up.

Anxiety Relief

Everyone experiences anxiety at times. Whatever triggers the anxiety, almost always the underlying emotion is fear. Often the fear is buried, and anxiety is what is felt. It could be fear of the unknown, or maybe that a past experience will be repeated in the future.

There are also times we are deeply affected by cultural beliefs, and can experience anxiety because of the influence of those beliefs, even if we don’t consciously feel a connection. For example, can you remember a time you were driving and noticed a police car? Did you find yourself feeling anxious and checking your speed? Even though you may not have had a negative experience with a police officer. Collective beliefs can influence us more deeply than we realize.

I Love Gardening

I’m passionate about gardening. I love spending time in my garden. It’s a refuge for me; a safe place where I can be with nature. I can observe or participate or both, in whatever proportion feels good at the time.

I remember the year I first decided to grow a garden. It was not long after we moved to the mountains and I was 13 or 14. I picked a little clearing and began shoveling snow off the spot. It turned out to be a tiny spot, there were seemingly endless tree roots in the ground, an old stump in the middle, and a tree over 100’ tall on the south side, so it didn’t get much sun. Not to mention the fact the soil had the needed components to grow trees, not vegetables.

Some of those first gardens didn’t produce much food, and it was especially frustrating when the family milk cow found the garden and ate everything!! But none of this stopped my gardening efforts. There is always next year.

Hauling manure from my two horses and my daughter’s two horses to build a compost pile and get it heating up is one of my most favorite things to do! Weeding is right up there along with hauling manure. I look out my bedroom window in the morning when I get up and the weeds call to me. I can’t wait to get out there and pull more of them.

I love all the parts of gardening! Want to join me for a breakfast of strawberries during the first week of July? You might need to wipe a little dirt off some of them on your pant leg or sleeve, if it has rained recently, but the berries will have more flavor than any you’ve tasted.

Healthy Weight Loss

Healthy weight loss and maintaining an appropriate weight afterwards involves looking at many parts of our lives. I believe my story is the same as what many people experience. Iron will power, and depriving myself did not bring me the lasting results I desire. There is more involved than simply eating less or eating differently or exercising. Food is one factor. Exercise is another. My experience is that both of these factors are a small percent of the bigger picture of why my body carries extra weight.

The one thing I have found that determines the health of my body, including my weight, is my emotions. How I feel about myself and my life. How I feel about my body, and how I feel about my children or parents, and how I feel about my work, or the fact I still feel irritated with a friend over a conversation we had last week. All these things affect my body.

The Yuen Method and its ability to work on the energetic level can be very helpful in healthy weight loss. There are factors we are not consciously aware of that deeply affect us and our ability to do what we want to do. Often there are fundamental beliefs our culture holds that we do not realize are holding us back.

Natural Chronic Pain Relief

Pain, whether chronic or acute, is there to alert us to the fact some area of our life is out of balance and needs to be observed. The causes of pain can be elusive, and the search for them very frustrating. Many times this is because the root cause comes from a place we are not consciously aware.  Whether your suffering from arthritis pain, back pain, joint pain, or neck pain you can find natural relief from your chronic pain condition by using the Yuen Method of finding and eliminating the emotional source of your chronic pain condition.

Emotions we are taught to suppress can be a cause of physical ailments, including chronic pain. There are times when we don’t know how to deal with emotional pain, and then it may be expressed physically, as pain or dis-ease.

“In the western world, pain is usually treated with medication. Individuals in chronic pain have a hard time. More often than not they are told to live with it. In the east, pain is seen as a symptom of a deeper issue. Something is wrong with the flow of energy in the body causing the manifestation of a physical condition. The Yuen Method shows you how to identify the deeper issues causing your pain. Finding the root causes of the issues and eliminating them makes it possible to release the physical symptom for good.”  Dr. Kam Yuen, Instant Pain Elimination
